Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use SpeakScoreFix. By using the service or paying for a plan, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use SpeakScoreFix.
1. Who we are
SpeakScoreFix is operated by Vivan Shah, sole trader, based in Belgium. You can contact us at support@speakscorefix.com.
2. What SpeakScoreFix gives you
SpeakScoreFix records short voice samples in your browser, measures objective signals such as speaking rate, pauses, and audio level, and generates a personalised speaking plan together with a coach page. The service is a self-improvement tool for spoken English. It is not an official language test, a job placement service, a visa service, or a guarantee of any score, interview outcome, or employment outcome.
3. Pricing
- Daily English plan — USD 15 per month, billed recurring through Stripe. Cancel any time and the next charge will not occur. Your access continues until the end of the paid month.
- Test Speaking Coach — USD 25 per month, billed recurring through Stripe. Covers one test type at a time. Cancel any time; access continues until the end of the paid month.
- Interview English Coach — USD 40 per month, billed recurring through Stripe. Covers your interview preparation. Cancel any time; access continues until the end of the paid month.
All amounts are in USD and exclude any VAT or sales tax that may apply in your jurisdiction. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Stripe handles taxes and presents amounts in your local currency where required, then settles in USD.
4. Right of withdrawal (EU consumer law)
As a consumer in the European Union you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online services (Article 16 of the Consumer Rights Directive). Because the first month of your speaking plan is delivered immediately on payment, by clicking "Pay" you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal for the first billing period once the plan has been delivered in full. If your plan has not yet been generated, you can withdraw within 14 days by emailing support@speakscorefix.com and we will refund the full amount. After the first month, you can cancel your subscription at any time and the next charge will not occur.
5. Refunds and cancellations
- All subscriptions (Daily, Tests, Interviews): cancel at any time from your inbox link or by emailing us. The current paid month is non-refundable once the plan has been delivered, unless you have used SpeakScoreFix for less than one day in your first month, in which case we will refund in full.
- Quality-failed plans:if the generated plan quality is "manual review" or "fail" we will either re-generate it for free or refund you in full, your choice.
- Failed delivery: if for any technical reason you do not receive your plan within 24 hours of payment, contact us and we will refund or re-deliver.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use SpeakScoreFix for your own learning. You will not attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, resell, or otherwise abuse the service. You will not upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringing.
7. Account and security
SpeakScoreFix does not require accounts. Each plan is identified by an unguessable URL sent to your email. Treat that link like a password.
8. Intellectual property
The SpeakScoreFix name, logo, design, source code, and templates are owned by us. Your personalised plan is yours to read, save, and use for your own learning. You may not redistribute or resell the plan as your own product.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to SpeakScoreFix is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages such as missed test results, missed jobs, or lost profits. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Belgian or EU consumer law.
10. Service availability
We aim for SpeakScoreFix to be available 24/7 but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may pause the service briefly for maintenance or upgrades. If a paid feature is unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours we will extend your plan or refund pro-rata.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when we add features, change pricing, or fix ambiguity. We will email subscribers about material changes. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms. The previous version remains available on request.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Belgian law, without regard to conflict of laws principles. EU consumers may also rely on the mandatory consumer protection rules of their country of residence.
Disputes will first be resolved by good-faith email negotiation. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Belgian courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
